LOKA Siargao and Sambazon SEA Host Wellness Weekend to Launch New Açaí Bowl Menu
Cloud 9, Siargao – September 2024 - LOKA Siargao, a popular beachfront restaurant, bar, and shop located at Cloud 9 Beach, partnered with Sambazon SEA to host a two-day event celebrating wellness, sustainability, and community. The event culminated in the official launch of LOKA’s Açaí Special Menu.
The collaboration featured immersive activities that spotlighted Sambazon’s signature organic and fair-trade açaí, while introducing LOKA guests to new ways to enjoy the superfood.
On September 19, the team kicked things off with a Free Sampling Day, offering beachgoers and passersby a chance to taste Sambazon’s Açaí blend for the first time. The chilled, antioxidant-rich bowls were a hit among surfers, tourists, and residents alike.
The main event took place on September 20, with an Açaí Bowl Masterclass and “Make Your Own Açaí Bowl” Contest hosted at LOKA. Co-led by Sambazon SEA and Elaine Abonal, Founder of Surfista Travels and a well-known influencer based in Siargao, the event was designed to inspire creativity while educating guests on Sambazon’s mission and sourcing model.
Participants learned about Sambazon’s environmental and social responsibility commitment through its certified organic, non-GMO, and fair-trade practices. Then, they put their skills to the test by crafting their own açaí bowls using a curated selection of island fruits, toppings, and superfood add-ons.
