29th Siargao International Surfing Cup
29th Siargao International Surfing Cup
In the heart of Cloud 9, Loka Siargao celebrated its third year of partnering up with the World Surf League (WSL) for the 29th Siargao International Cup. This much-awaited event was bigger and better than ever — running from October 24-31, LOKA treated both athletes and spectators to a week filled with surfing, music, and good vibes.
What made this year’s competition more exciting was the QS6000 status — the highest Qualifying Series event ever held not just in Siargao, but in the Philippines. With higher points up for grabs, over 200 professional surfers from around the world came to compete for the championship title.

LOKA has always been deeply rooted in the surf community, making it a tradition to give back to the athletes and create a memorable, curated experience every year. Once again, LOKA became the hub for the WSL Live Stream Party, where crowds gather daily to cheer, celebrate, and enjoy the action together. With special promos, happy hour cocktails, and live music throughout the week, LOKA was undeniably the place to be during competition season.
“Planning and executing a campaign as big as WSL has always been one of the most exciting times of the year,” said Pat Poblete, Restaurant Manager at LOKA. “This annual event brings together the community, culture, and celebration of extraordinary talent — and LOKA has always been proud to be a part of.”

This year, LOKA also earned the title of Official Recovery Station for the athletes. In collaboration with Catangnan Beach Dojo and Mantra, the brands have created a space dedicated to rest and recovery — offering free ice baths, specialized massages, exclusive discounts and giveaways. To top it off, more than 15 partner brands joined the week-long celebration, making it an unforgettable experience for both athletes and surf enthusiasts. Registered surfers were treated to free açaí bowls from Samazbon, cans of Red Bull to stay energized, and gelato from Sweet Halika, among many other freebies from our sponsors.
As the 29th Siargao International Surfing Cup comes to a close, LOKA looks back with pride and excitement. Each year, the WSL brings the island to life — and LOKA remains committed to growing with the surf community, championing both local and international talent. With even bigger plans in store, we’re stoked to do it all over again and welcome everyone back for next year’s WSL.
