28th Siargao International Surfing Cup
Cloud 9, Siargao – November 2024 – LOKA Siargao proudly partnered once again with the World Surf League (WSL) for the 28th Siargao International Surfing Cup. This celebrated event returned to Cloud 9 with even more stoke and global recognition.
The WSL Siargao International Surfing Cup is the most anticipated sporting event on the island. This year, it was elevated to QS5000 status, attracting over 150 athletes from 13 countries. For LOKA, it was more than just a surf comp—it was a celebration of island pride, community, and culture.
For the second year, LOKA activated during competition week, serving island hospitality and good vibes for the local surf scene and visiting athletes worldwide. This event ran from October 26 to November 4, delivering ten days of world-class competition, tropical energy, and surf culture at its best.
Throughout competition week, LOKA spread good vibes with exclusive perks and discounts for registered WSL athletes, providing them a well-deserved space to recharge, refuel, and relax after their heats. From hearty brunches to happy hour spritzes, LOKA created a place for surfers and their crews to lounge.
To bring the action even closer to the community, we also hosted a WSL Live Stream Party—transforming our beachfront restaurant and bar into a viewing hub where fans, friends, and locals gathered to cheer on their favorites in real time.
